Description

Beautiful quarter sawn clean Spanish Cedar neck.

Spanish Cedar – a classic choice for a beautifully balanced guitar neck. Lightweight, stable and exceptionally easy to work, Spanish Cedar has long been valued by luthiers for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and warm, natural appearance. With lovely pink, reddish-brown colour tones and fine, straight grain create an understated elegance, while its low weight helps contriubute to a comfortable, responsive instrument.

Dry and read to use.

David from Australian Guitar Timbers mills all his logs, which sit in strip and air dry for at least two years before being cut into blocks. The timber is then placed in a Solar or Electric Kiln and dried further to between eight and ten percent moisture content. Nearly all of David’s logs are sourced locally here in Queensland except for the Tasmanian Timbers. Rather than trees being sent to be chipped they are saved and collected to be repurposed. Australian Guitar Timbers sustainably collect wood and love that they can convert the timber into a much-loved instrument part.
