I'm an amateur luthier who started building guitars in 2021, and most sets of tonewood I've used has come from David at Australian Guitar Timbers. My first build featured Camphor Laurel back and sides with a Silver Quandong top. My second was a Master Grade Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides with a Bunya Pine top. My favourite build so far has been New Guinea Rosewood back and sides paired with a Lutz Spruce top. Every piece of tonewood I've purchased from Dave has been expertly milled, perfectly dried, and beautifully prepared. The packaging is excellent, delivery is always prompt, and communication is first-class. It's obvious that supplying quality tonewood isn't just Dave's business—it's his passion! I hope to make the trip over to Australia one day and visit his workshop in person. In the meantime, I'm still keeping an eye out for that special set of New Guinea Rosewood that I missed out on... Aaron from @fenechguitars beat me to it! 🤣 I highly recommend Australian Guitar Timbers to anyone looking for exceptional-quality tonewoods and outstanding customer service.

I have bought several sets of acoustic soundboards from David and each has been absolutely top quality, perfect moisture levels and a joy to work with. David has supplied conventional species such Tas Blackwood and Red Cedar as well as some more exotic species like Camphor Laurel and Narra. My unusual designs respond well to these fine timbers. Great job David, keep up the good work.

Awesome place Geoff and boys were great very welcoming and even got a tour of the establishment to see the whole process of how they bake the cake! If you are ever looking for a handmade guitar this is well worth the visit!

Order arrived quickly, beautiful quality timber, well packaged - great selection also (I mostly make boxes and the headstock veneers will work wonderfully as a lid inlay)!
